"Expensive living, there were not enough shared accommodations."

How Might We Questions

  • How might we create equal chances for both foreigners and locals to find a place to live in The Netherlands?

  • How might we shorten the waiting time for a new apartment/ house for all types of groups including separated people, refugees, students, and foreign people?

  • How might we sustainably increase the number of affordable houses in order to suffice the population in the Netherlands?

Lego House

A house where you can collect it together. Move it wherever you want to. made of legos!

Main Takeaways:

  • Location

  • The legos might be light weight - not well connected/clicked

Domus

This is a combination of underground houses, tree houses and above ground buildings all inside a wall. The idea was to create a 3 dimensional community in between a wall.

Main Takeways:

  • Too expensive to build

  • Not very affordable

  • Not enough space in the Netherlands to build this.

  • People are happy using recycle materials for the future houses, protecting the environment.

  • Giving feedback of which aspects should be changed, such as the size, while us implementing their preferences .

  • Happy for affordable houses to be available.

  • They think that it's necessary keeping that "green look" like the Netherlands wants to.
